The morning kicks off with a keynote talk from Richard Seymour, co-founder of one of the world’s leading design and innovation firms, the hugely impressive Seymourpowell.  Richard will be sharing his experiences of how design has shaped the fortunes of companies across the world.

Our workshop:  digital design

Digital and interactive design helps companies make their products and services more competitive.  Jamie and I will be delivering a hands-on workshop that explores how you can:

• identify where digital design can help your business the most
• scope projects that will add real value and
• go about hiring outside help

To do this, we’ll spend some time recapping on why the web is so important for firms today, how digital design can contribute to competitive advantage and our tips on how to get digital design projects off to a good start.  One of the great things about events like this is the chance to share ideas with others, so we’ll finish the session with a hands-on exercise to help you apply some of these ideas to your own organisation.

There are some alternative choices of workshop, including design strategy with Michael Thomson, brand design with Gillian Colhoun and Damian Cranney, and product design with Amanda Carson and Stephen McGilloway.
