Hello Brighton - dConstruct 2010

I’ve just returned from a journey to the not-so-sandy shores of Brighton this past Friday for the sixth annual dConstruct conference, along with five other fronties.

We got to hear talks from some of the industry’s most respected designers, journalists and creative thinkers on how to make the most of the web, design thinking and future trends.

You can check out this comprehensive write up of the event by Robbie Manson, along with our very own pictures of dConstruct on Flickr.

Hello Brighton

In recent years, dConstruct has become one of the premiere conferences in our industry, selling out year after year. Being highly respected amongst our peers – expectations were always going to be high, and in most cases they were surpassed.

Here’s a few tweets to sum up the general feelings towards the event:

dConstruct: great conference, or greatest conference?
@goodonpaper

Exhausted. dConstruct was a-mazing. Good speakers, great catching up with friends. Best so far! Would buy again +++
@maxvoltar

Sumup tweet: The only thing better than the conference was the people I spent the time with. Thank you.
@stuartgibson

Overall, we had a fantastic time; with world class speakers and an attendee list packed with talent (courtesy of Lanyrd), you couldn’t go wrong. We’ll be back - that’s for sure.

We’d like to thank our friends at Clearleft, but more specifically Sophie Barrett for a well organised, friendly and enjoyable conference.

Each of the team has their own views on the event, but you can hear from them yourself. We’ll be producing individual articles for your reading pleasure in the coming days that will evaluate the event from our personal perspectives.

Can you hear that? That’s the sound of fronties furiously organising their thoughts. We’re looking forward to publishing them.
