A Very Groovy Website

Bang on the Door was started by two very clever ladies called Karen and Sam who met at art college and started selling their designs on t-shirts on a market stall in Camden, London. Since then the company has developed into a hugely successful product brand. Chances are, you have seen their characters on birthday cards, bed spreads, bikes and roller skates at some point.

We were recently commissioned to help the illustration brand create an online home for their most popular character, Groovy Chick, and her friends. We’ve had a lot of fun in the studio thinking about how Groovy Chick might spend her days - playing games like spot the difference, making ‘groovy recipes’ or making her computer look all ‘groovy’.

Within weeks of launch, the website has already attracted thousands of registered users and countless positive emails asking for “more fun please”.

Bang on the Door and FRONT are currently planning the next phases of work to include more of their 600(!) characters and adding “more fun please”.
